I take pictures of my children all of the time. But, bless their hearts (can you tell I'm from the deep south??), they never actually get a real photo session of their own. When I am testing my studio lights & they are around, I will take a few shots of them here and there. Or, when they are playing in our back yard with dirt on their faces and play clothes, I will practice new techniques on them. I have WONDERFUL pictures of my children all around my house (if I do say so myself!), but what's funny is that I have not put a whole lot of thought into them. They have just happened, and I love them all dearly.
I had great intentions of getting great pictures of the two of them in their Easter outfits, but since they both stripped down immediately after church, I decided it wasn't worth the battle to get them dressed back up. Instead, Campbell put on her new red pettiskirt and went out into the yard, and I followed w/my camera in hand. Bribing her with Easter candy, I was able to get her to sit for two minutes in the one patch of shade that we had at high noon in our yard (those of you who know me know I don't like taking pictures in full sun!). Since most of the pictures I have of Campbell are more soulful and moody (I generally like these better of her), I was glad to get some fun ones of her smiling. So until I can actually schedule her for a real photo session, these will have to do! Jack was not quite as cooperative, and I was too hungry to try hard. I will try again w/him later...
